Caliente

Object of our Affection

Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.28.2005
Don't get lost in translation when you're traveling this summer.
Just flip over this water bottle and fire away choice phrases in Spanish, such as "¿Que hora es?" (What time is it?)
Of course, this works best if you happen to be in a Spanish-speaking country.
The water bottles hold 32 ounces and more than 100 words and phrases for a traveler's most common queries (Where is the bathroom?).
Brilliant, don't you think?
Creator Steve Margolin got the idea while traveling in Europe a few years back. He didn't do so hot in high school Spanish class and hated carrying a translation book. Thus, Bottles in Translation were born.
The bottles are microwave- and dishwasher-safe and come in red, blue and purple. Bottles with French phrases should be available by the end of the summer.
Each bottle costs $14.99 at www.bottlesintranslation.com online.
